Malvern Spring Show 2008: RHS Silver medal for ‘A Twist in the Tale’

Malvern Autumn Show 2008: RHS Gold medal for ‘The Bradstone Bacchus Garden’

The children’s storytelling garden has been rebuilt on the site of three schools: Henleaze Infants School, Henleaze Junior and Claremont Special School.

A decorative, edible garden inspired by the god of wine and theatre. The layout is based on concentric circles reminiscent of wine swirling in a glass. The planting creates a sense of drama and the canvas screens act as wings of a theatre, hiding and revealing areas.

The sculpture was planted with thyme which was used by the Romans to cure headaches.

Chelsea 2009: RHS Silver Gilt medal for ‘The Bradstone Dawn Chorus Garden’

A conceptual garden intended to celebrate the first light of the emerging dawn. A contemplative space which explores the moods, sights and experiences of the individual witnessing dawn.
